obby and I took a mini-vacation to New York City this week. We fit in so many glorious activities and here’s what I’d like to say to the Big Apple and everyone and everything that we spent time with:
(Just in case you can’t read my typewriter…the card says “You light me up like the New York skyline.” Weekend activity: figuring out where to buy the appropriate typewriter ribbon so I can keep on creating.)
Stephen (my brother) and Celeste (Stephen’s girlfriend), you light us up like the New York skyline! I could eat Ramen with you every week for the rest of my life. Here’s hoping we all live in the same city someday. :) Thanks for hosting us!
Carolyn (Bobby’s sister), you light us up! We loved seeing your classroom and cute first graders. Those kids are so lucky to have you as their teacher.
Broadway, you know what you do to me. If you ever get a chance to see The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time DO IT. Phenomenal. Simply phenomenal.
Yoga to the People, you light up my entire being. Please start a studio in Miami!
Giants game and amazingly generous friends who provided the tickets, you light us up! WOW what a night.
Elizabeth Gilbert, your talk about Big Magic: Creating Living Beyond Fear had me laughing and crying. I want to be just like you when I grow up.
Pope Francis, we didn’t get to see you (well, minus your wax figure on the sidewalk in front of Madame Tussaud’s) but oh wowwww do you light us up like the New York skyline! It was a treat just to know we were in the same city as your expansive, compassionate spirit.
And you – yes you! – reading this: you light me up. Thanks for checking in. I hope you have a cozy fall weekend. I’ll be putting the finishing touches on my Etsy shop so that I can do the grand opening on Monday. Yep, THIS Monday. Wheeeee it’s about to happen! So happy to have you along for the journey. xoxo
